Country music star Reba McEntire and her partner Rex Linn participated in a chili cookoff competition, where Reba ended up in last place. Despite being a cute couple, they didn't go easy on each other during the contest.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff alongside Linn, who served as one of the judges. Despite their personal relationship, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place. As a result, she received a unique trophy: a chili pepper going down a toilet.
Always gracious, McEntire posted a video on her social media showing her participation in a cookoff where she did not win, and even showed herself accepting the last place position gracefully.

In a recent interview on CBS Mornings, McEntire talked about her unsuccessful attempt at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She realized that she forgot to add the spices to the dish she was making, but she tried to compensate by adding chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would still turn out well. She was following a recipe from Texas and was really looking forward to how it would turn out.
Despite being in a relationship with Linn, it did not help her avoid coming in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship status may have made it slightly easier to handle when the judges announced the news.
"Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly revealed the news. He expressed his regret by saying, 'I'm sorry.' I asked him if he was going to announce the winner, to which he responded, 'Well, it's not you.'"
"Then he gave me the award, which was a chili pepper inside a toilet. And then I shared my embarrassing story," McEntire added.
Putting humor aside, McEntire discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. They have been acquainted for many years, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns with Kenny Rogers. However, their romantic relationship did not begin until they reconnected in 2020. Prior to this, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation, McEntire mentioned to Rex that she wondered why they hadn't connected sooner. Rex pointed out that one reason could have been because she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while she has become more relaxed over time. They feel that they have met at the perfect moment in their lives.
Following this, McEntire will be traveling to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is currently developing a new television show that will involve collaborating with some of the individuals who were part of her popular TV series, Reba.
