Country music star Reba McEntire came in last place in a chili cookoff that was judged by her partner Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple in the country music scene, they don't go easy on each other when it comes to cooking competitions.
McEntire was part of a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, it did not influence the judging process in any way.
Actually, McEntire ended up finishing in last place. As a result, she was given a humorous trophy as a prize: a chili pepper going down a toilet.
Despite not winning, McEntire showed good sportsmanship by posting a video on social media of her unsuccessful cookoff experience, which included a moment of her gracefully accepting coming in last place.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire discussed her unsuccessful chili cookoff attempt and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She forgot to add the spices to the dish, but she added chili powder and hatch green chilis instead. She was following a recipe from Texas and was really excited about how it would turn out.
Despite being in a relationship with Linn, it did not help her avoid being in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship with Linn may have lessened the impact of the news when the judges announced the results.
Rex, who was a judge, approached me and quietly revealed the news that I did not win. He expressed his apologies before informing me that I was not the winner.
Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper in the toilet. And then I did the same thing with mine.
Setting humor aside, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. They have been acquainted for a long time – they first met in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers – but their romantic feelings didn't develop until they reconnected in 2020. Prior to this, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, Reba McEntire expressed curiosity about why they hadn't connected sooner. Rex pointed out that one reason may have been her previous marriage. McEntire mentioned that Rex is lively and energetic, while she has become more relaxed. She believes they have come together at the perfect moment in their lives.
Following this, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new sitcom that will involve reuniting with some of the individuals who collaborated on her popular TV show, Reba.
