Country music star Reba McEntire is joining forces with the team behind her hit sitcom "Reba" for a new television show. After some time away, McEntire is returning to television.
Following her time as a coach on the TV show The Voice, Reba McEntire is collaborating with NBC once more for a new comedy pilot that has not yet been named.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show is centered on a character played by McEntire, who unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant. However, she is not happy to learn that she now has to share the business with a half-sister she was previously unaware of.

McEntire will be working again with experienced showrunner Kevin Abbott, who has worked on popular shows such as Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls.
Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who used to be executive producers on the show Reba, are said to be joining Reba McEntire on her new comedy series for NBC.
NBC has officially ordered its first pilot of 2024 since the conclusion of the strikes by the Writer's Guild and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

The artist known for the song "Fancy" made her debut on television in the early 2000s with her successful sitcom Reba, which aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.
In the show, McEntire plays a mother from Texas who is dealing with the breakdown of her marriage, her husband's infidelity, and her teenage daughter's pregnancy.

Reba continues to be shown in syndication and is currently being broadcast on the Hallmark Channel.
McEntire appeared in the ABC show Malibu Country in 2012, but the series did not last long. Lily Tomlin and Sara Rue also starred in the show.
