Reba McEntire Returns to TV: Reuniting with ‘Reba’ Team for New Sitcom

Country music icon Reba McEntire is set to make a comeback on television.

Following her recent stint as a coach on the popular singing competition show "The Voice," McEntire is now collaborating once more with NBC for an upcoming comedy pilot that has not yet been given a title.

The information provided by The Hollywood Reporter states that the show centers around the main character played by McEntire. In the storyline, she unexpectedly becomes the owner of her father's restaurant. However, she is not particularly happy when she finds out that she now has a new business partner, who happens to be her previously unknown half-sister.

McEntire and Kevin Abbott, an experienced showrunner known for his work on shows like Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls, will be joining forces again.

According to reports, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who were previously executive producers on the show Reba, will be joining Reba McEntire on her new comedy series on NBC.

NBC has recently made its first pilot order for the year 2024, following the conclusion of the strikes led by WGA and SAG-AFTRA.

The artist known for her song "Fancy" made a big entrance on television during the early 2000s with her highly successful sitcom called Reba. The show aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.

In the series, McEntire played the role of a mother from Texas who is dealing with the challenges of her failing marriage, her husband's affair, and her daughter's unexpected pregnancy during her teenage years.
