Reba McEntire Returns to TV with New Sitcom: Reuniting with the ‘Reba’ Team

Reba McEntire is set to make a return to television with a new sitcom, reuniting with the team behind her previous show "Reba."

Following her recent role as a coach on the popular singing competition show, The Voice, McEntire is joining forces once again with NBC for a new comedy pilot that is yet to be titled. The pilot will be filmed using multiple cameras.

Based on a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the story of the series focuses on the main character played by McEntire. She unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant, but her excitement turns into disappointment when she learns that her new business partner is actually her half-sister whom she was unaware of.

McEntire and Kevin Abbott, an experienced showrunner known for his work on shows like Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls, will be collaborating once again.

According to reports, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on the show Reba, will join Reba McEntire on her upcoming comedy series for NBC.

NBC has recently placed an order for its first pilot of 2024 following the conclusion of the strikes by the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
