Country music star Reba McEntire will be joining forces with the team from her hit sitcom "Reba" to work on a new television show. After a break from television, McEntire is returning to the small screen.
Following her time as a coach on the reality singing show The Voice, McEntire is collaborating once more with NBC on a new comedy pilot that has not been named yet.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the show focuses on the main character played by McEntire, who unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant and is not happy to find out that she now has to share ownership with a half-sister she never knew existed.

McEntire will be working again with experienced showrunner Kevin Abbott, who has worked on popular shows like Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls.
Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who worked on Reba with Reba McEntire, are said to be joining her on the upcoming NBC comedy series.

The singer known for the song "Fancy" made her TV debut in the early 2000s with the successful sitcom Reba, which aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.
In the show, McEntire played the role of a mother from Texas who is dealing with the breakdown of her marriage, her husband's infidelity, and her daughter's unexpected teenage pregnancy.

The TV show Reba is still being shown in syndication and can currently be watched on the Hallmark Channel.
McEntire appeared in the ABC show Malibu Country in 2012, which also featured Lily Tomlin and Sara Rue, but the series was cancelled after a short run.
