Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is projected to have the highest ticket prices ever, making it a game for those who can afford to spend big. If you plan on attending this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a premium for your ticket.

As of Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the site does guarantee a seat at this price.

If ticket prices remain the same, this Super Bowl will be remembered as the most costly one ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket in history is currently held by the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket purchase price was $6,370. One of the reasons for the high price that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing in the game. However, that is not the case for this year's Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever to take place in Las Vegas. Ticket experts believe this unique location is causing prices to rise, as fans are excited to have the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the largest sporting event in the world.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub's data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans from California prefer to attend games due to the proximity of the stadium. In comparison, Kansas and Missouri account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub, indicating less interest from fans in those states.

We must also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! It is likely that she will be present at the event, which could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with its 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11th, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
