Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

The upcoming Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever, making it a game for high spenders. If you want to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay top dollar as it is set to be the most expensive in history.

Currently, the lowest price for a single ticket on the ticket resale website TickPick is $8,000 as of Thursday. This price would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, although it is important to note that the site assures the availability of the seat.

If the current prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket may become the most costly one in history. The previous record holder for highest price was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket was sold for $6,370. The high price that year was largely influenced by the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were participating in the game. However, that is not the case for this year's game.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one held in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the world's largest sporting event.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as evidenced by StubHub data showing that 26 percent of ticket sales originate from California. This suggests that fans from closer proximity are more likely to attend games. In comparison, Kansas and Missouri together only account for 7 percent of ticket sales on the platform.

We must also mention the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which seats 65,000 people, will be completely full. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11th at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
