Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History and What’s Driving the High Prices

  • by

The upcoming Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen for the game. If you plan on attending, be prepared to pay a premium as it is shaping up to be the most expensive Super Bowl to date.

As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, although it is important to note that the website does guarantee a seat at that price.

If the current prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket will be the most costly in history. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket on record is from 2020, with an average price of $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing. This is not the case for this year's Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, which has caused ticket prices to rise as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in the city and experience the world's largest sporting event.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location where a game is held plays a significant role in attracting fans of the 49ers. According to StubHub, a popular ticket resale website, 26 percent of ticket purchases come from California, as fans from the state have a shorter distance to travel to watch their team play. In comparison, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with its 65,000 seats will be full to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
