Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the priciest tickets ever. To attend this year's game, you'll need to be prepared to spend a lot of money. It is expected to be the most costly Super Bowl yet.
As of Thursday, the lowest-priced individual ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This price would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site specifying that your seat is guaranteed at that price.
If the prices stay the same, this will be recorded as the priciest Super Bowl ticket ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket to date was for the 2020 game, where the average price was $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing as the home team. This year, that is not the case.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever held in Las Vegas. Ticket experts believe this unique location is causing prices to rise as fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City, culminating in the world's biggest sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The proximity to the stadium is a significant factor for 49er fans when deciding to buy tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where fans have a shorter distance to travel to watch their team play. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.
Also, we should consider the influence of Taylor Swift! It is highly probable that she will be present at the event, which could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
