Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History and What’s Driving the Prices Up

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever, making it a game for those willing to spend big. If you're looking to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared for high costs as it is anticipated to be the most expensive one yet.

As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site ensuring that the seat is guaranteed.

If the current prices remain stable, this year's Super Bowl ticket could become the most expensive one ever. The previous record was set in 2020 with an average ticket price of $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high prices that year was that the hosting team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing. However, this year's Super Bowl does not have the same situation.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, which experts believe is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the largest sporting event globally.

In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The location of the game is a major factor for fans of the 49ers, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26% of ticket sales come from California. Fans from California are more likely to attend games due to the shorter distance. In contrast, only 7% of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

We shouldn't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event is expected to attract a larger female audience than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with a seating capacity of 65,000, will be filled to capacity. The highly anticipated Super Bowl 58 will begin on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
