Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. If you want to attend this year's Super Bowl, you will need to be willing to pay a premium price.
On Thursday, the lowest priced individual ticket available on TickPick, a ticket resale website, was $8,000. This price would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, although the website does mention that the purchase guarantees a seat.
If the prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be recorded as the most costly one ever sold. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where tickets were sold for an average price of $6,370. The main reason for the high prices that year was due to the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in the game. However, this year, the situation is different as the home team is not participating.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, and experts believe this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are excited about the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the most significant sporting event globally.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
Where fans are located plays a significant role in sales for the 49ers. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as local fans prefer to attend games. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.
It's also important to consider the influence of Taylor Swift. Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to begin on Sunday, February 11th, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
