As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, although the website does mention that the seat is guaranteed.
If the prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be remembered as the most costly one ever. The previous record was set by the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing. However, that is not the case this year.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one to take place in Las Vegas, and ticket experts believe this is causing prices to increase. Fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the highly anticipated sporting event.
Just in case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the first Super Bowl was $12.
The proximity of the stadium is an important factor for 49er fans when purchasing tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where fans have a shorter distance to travel to see their team play. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Also, we shouldn't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift. Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which can accommodate 65,000 people, will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
