The upcoming Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. If you're looking to attend, be prepared to pay a premium as it is shaping up to be a game for high rollers.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale site TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, although the site does mention that the ticket guarantees you a seat.
If the prices stay the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly one ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, playing in the game. However, that is not the case this year.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be hosted in Las Vegas for the first time, which is causing ticket prices to increase as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the world's biggest sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location of the game plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where fans have a shorter distance to travel to see their team play. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be full to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
