The Evolution of CMA Fest: How a New Stadium Will Change the Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After hosting the festival's main shows at Nissan Stadium for many years, the shows will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They eagerly anticipate hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.

The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The building process is expected to commence within this year, and the stadium is anticipated to be ready for use by 2027.

Individuals who enjoy country music will still have the opportunity to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one. It will be an indoor facility designed to offer fans a better experience. It will have large windows with views of Nashville, a roof that lets in light, and a community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for country music fans. It started in 1972 with just 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. People from all over the world come to Music City to experience this amazing festival, where they can enjoy over 250 performances from various artists on nine different stages.
