In a few years, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the location for the festival's main shows for a number of years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will take place once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They eagerly anticipate hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening concerts that will take place in the new stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, situated just to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The upcoming stadium for the Titans will differ from their current home. It will be a closed facility specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include 12,000 square feet of communal space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an incredible experience for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium with only 5,000 attendees. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. People from all over the world gather in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine stages.
