The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans may lead to significant changes in the future of CMA Fest. The event as we currently know it may not remain the same for much longer.
The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for a while now, but they will be moved to the new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest, and they are excited to host country music fans for the evening concerts at the new stadium in Nashville.
A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed to the east of the current Nissan Stadium, situated on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The building process is expected to start this year, and the stadium is anticipated to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one as it will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with an enhanced experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
