The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans will lead to significant changes in the future of CMA Fest.
After being hosted at the Nissan Stadium for several years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has stated that they intend to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts, which will take place in the newly constructed stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence in the current year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The upcoming Titans' stadium will differ from their current home in that it will be an indoor facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a spacious community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an event known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience," that originated in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. It initially began with a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium but has since grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world who come together to enjoy over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
