In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will be held once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening performances at the recently constructed stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence in the present year and the stadium is expected to be inaugurated in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an enclosed facility designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, feature a translucent roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most significant annual events in the country music industry. People from all over the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
