The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest may undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This development signals a potential shift in the traditional format of the festival.

The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is slated to start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be an enclosed facility designed to enhance the fan experience, offering panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized year-round.

CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started as Fan Fair in 1972 with 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. It has since grown into one of the largest country music events, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world to Music City to enjoy over 250 performances on nine stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
