In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the event will not be the same as it has been in recent years.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. Building is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music will have continued access to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one, as it will be a covered facility designed to provide fans with a better experience. It will offer views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, formerly known as Fan Fair, is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, and has since grown into one of the largest country music events of the year. Thousands of attendees from around the world come to Music City each year to watch over 250 performances on nine different stages.
