The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

The CMA Fest is expected to undergo changes in the coming years due to the Tennessee Titans' upcoming new stadium. This means that the festival may not be the same in the future.

The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.

The Country Music Association intends to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The Titans' new stadium will be different from their current one as it will be an indoor facility designed to provide fans with a better experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that first started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into one of the largest country music events each year. Thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to enjoy over 250 performances on nine stages.
