In the coming years, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the event may not be the same as we are used to in the future.
The main performances of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for a number of years, but they will be moved to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has stated that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A brand new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed to the east of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The building process is expected to start this year, and the stadium is anticipated to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be a covered facility designed to provide fans with a premium experience, featuring wide views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space for year-round use.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a way for country music fans to come together. It has grown from a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium to a large annual event that attracts tens of thousands of guests from around the world. Attendees can enjoy performances from over 250 acts on nine stages during the festival.
