CMA Fest is expected to undergo changes in the coming years due to the announcement of the Tennessee Titans getting a new stadium. This means that the current format of CMA Fest may not be the same in the future.
Although the festival has been held at Nissan Stadium for a number of years, the main shows will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association intends to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to where the Titans currently play, the new stadium will be covered and focused on providing fans with a better experience. It will offer wide views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a community area of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is a popular event that showcases country music and gives fans a unique experience. It originated in 1972 with just 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but has since grown into one of the largest country music events each year. Thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to enjoy over 250 performances across nine stages.
The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
