The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as it Moves to the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans hints at changes for CMA Fest in the future. The event may undergo significant alterations in the coming years due to this development.

The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association intends to keep collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current home as it will be a closed facility designed to provide fans with a better experience. It will feature panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to see over 250 performances on nine stages.
