The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as the Event Moves to the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The Tennessee Titans are planning to build a new stadium, which means that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the coming years.

The festival's main concerts have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but once the new venue is finished, they will be moving there.

The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest, and they are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium by the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The building process is planned to start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The Titans' new stadium will be different from their current one as it will be an enclosed facility designed to provide fans with a unique and immersive experience. It will feature panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a gathering for country music fans. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into a major annual event in country music. Now, tens of thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 event will take place in downtown Nashville from June 6 to June 9
