The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect at the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After being hosted at the present Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association states that they plan to keep collaborating with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A brand-new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence in the current year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the new location will be an indoor facility designed specifically to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer stunning views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include a large community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, with only 5,000 fans attending. However, it has now become one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world. The festival features over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages in Music City.

The dates for CMA Fest 2024 have been set from June 6th to June 9th
