The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect with the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

In the coming years, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This will likely result in a different experience for festival-goers compared to what they are used to.

The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association stated that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest and are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. Building will start this year and it is expected to be completed by 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current home, as it will be an enclosed facility designed to provide fans with an exceptional experience. It will feature panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a way for country music fans to come together. From its humble beginnings with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has grown into a major annual event in the country music world. Every year, thousands of fans from around the world come to Music City to enjoy performances from over 250 artists on nine stages.
