In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This will alter the traditional format of the festival.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association intends to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. Building is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will differ from their current one by being an indoor facility designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer sweeping views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. Originally a gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has grown into one of country music's largest yearly events. Every year, tens of thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
