The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect with the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. The event will not be the same as it has been in previous years.

The main shows of the festival have been hosted at Nissan Stadium for a number of years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest, and they are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the concerts at the new stadium each night.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and focused on giving fans a better experience, with views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is known as the ultimate experience for country music fans and originally started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, tens of thousands of people from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 acts perform on nine stages.
