In the future, CMA Fest may undergo changes due to the Tennessee Titans' upcoming new stadium. This could mean that the event will not be the same as it has been in the past.
The main concerts of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has confirmed that they will be collaborating with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, just east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The Titans' new stadium will be different from their current one as it will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with an exceptional experience. It will offer stunning views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a popular event that started in 1972 with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual country music events, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world who come to Music City to enjoy over 250 performances on nine stages.
