The music video for the duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan features some special guest stars who also make appearances alongside the two co-stars. These familiar faces add extra excitement to the video.
Both singers invited their significant others to appear in their music videos. Bryan can be seen embracing his wife of 17 years, Caroline Boyer, in a field as they enjoy a sunset together. Pardi is shown twirling his wife Summer on a dance floor, and in another scene, he is holding his nearly one-year-old daughter Presley while they ride horseback together.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, plays the role of the plowboy.
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both felt that the song was written for them to perform together. He mentioned during an interview with Taste of Country Nights that the song is centered around cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in the music video for his 2020 song "One Margarita," which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi featured his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi released "Cowboys and Plowboys" as his latest music after his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last fall. He and his wife Summer had a baby named Presley in February, and they just revealed that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
