In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to great lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside of a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away.
The woman lifted Onyx, the dog, and brought him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to apprehend the criminals who had stolen Onyx. Without hesitation, they leaped onto the front of the vehicle and held on tightly as it raced through the crowded streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted to CBS News that when he found himself in the situation, he made a firm decision not to release his grip on the car. As they continued driving down the street and accelerating, he quickly became terrified for his life.
A video capturing the incident has gained widespread attention online, depicting Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident in a TikTok video, explaining that when her dog pulled on the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to smell something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, she saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, she stood in front of their car and insisted that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. The individuals in the car then proceeded to drive into her, causing her to fall onto the hood. Despite this, Zacharias remained determined and declared that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned to her. Eventually, they drove off, leaving her distraught.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her beloved puppy was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the vehicle suddenly swerved, causing her to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I wish I could share it with Onyx or that he could experience it too. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but feel that I'm not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how fast time has passed, as it feels like this situation just occurred, but it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an investigation of the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
