  • by

In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to protect her beloved French bulldog from a thief.

On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman seized a dog belonging to its owner, Ali Zacharias.

The woman picked up the dog, who goes by the name Onyx, and took him to a white car where another person was driving.

With bravery, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it swiftly raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, stating that when he realized the car was being taken, he made the decision not to let go and held onto the windshield wipers. He described how the car started moving down the block and gaining speed, causing him to feel a sudden rush of fear for his life.

The incident has gained widespread attention as a video capturing Zacharias holding onto the car's hood has become popular on social media.

Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News in a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she initially thought he just wanted to sniff something, so she let go. However, she then noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away. In an attempt to stop them, she positioned herself in front of their car and told them that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Despite her efforts, they continued to drive towards her, eventually hitting her and causing her to fall onto the hood of their car. Even after falling, she remained determined to get her dog back and told them she wouldn't leave until they returned him. Despite her persistence, they drove away with her dog.

Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save his cute dog were unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing him to be thrown off and sustain minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx, the dog, is still nowhere to be found.

No matter what I am doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I am not doing it with Onyx, and I feel like he is missing out. Even when I am grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I am not buying anything for him. It's hard to believe how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days. This sentiment was expressed by the speaker.

The crime that occurred is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into the matter and examining security footage as part of their
