In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to extreme lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a lady approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took her pet away.
The woman transported the dog, who goes by the name Onyx, to a white car being operated by another individual.
Bravely, Zacharias was determined not to allow the thieves to escape after taking Onyx. He leaped onto the front of the car and held on tightly as it raced down a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted how he firmly decided not to release his grip on the car and clung onto the windshield wipers. He found himself startled as the car continued driving down the street and accelerating, causing him to panic and fear for his safety. This account was shared by Zacharias with CBS News.
The incident was captured on video and has since become widely shared, featuring Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News via a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she initially thought he wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, she looked up and saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her dog, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they could not leave because they had her dog. Instead of stopping, the individuals driving the car continued to move forward, even driving into her until she fell onto the hood of the car. Despite this, Zacharias remained determined and declared that she would not leave until her dog was returned to her. However, the individuals in the car ignored her plea and continued to drive away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were not successful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the vehicle suddenly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I wish I could involve Onyx or that he could experience it too. For instance, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not purchasing anything for him. It's surprising how swiftly time has passed, as it feels like this situation just occurred. However, it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
As reported by CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an ongoing investigation into the crime, which involves the thorough examination of security camera footage
