American Blonde is promoting self-worth in their latest song, "Why Girl," and they are giving Taste of Country readers an exclusive first listen to it.
The creators of "Why Girl" wrote the song with the intention of reaching out to girls who are constantly looking for love in the wrong places. They aim to convey the message that it is important to understand one's self-worth and to not settle for less than what they truly deserve.
"Why do you allow him to make you cry / Losing your happiness, pretending to be someone you're not / Don't say you're okay / You're not okay because / You, always appear sad / Wasting your time on someone who is not what they seem / Why? / Yeah, why do you do it, girl?" is what they sing in the chorus.
After their previous group, Southern Halo, disbanded, Natalia (Nata) and Christina (Tinka) Morris came together to form a country duo. The trio, which also included their younger sister Hannah, had success with songs like "Little White Dress," "Anything Is Possible," "I Think Too Much," and "Don't Let Another Day Go By." In 2020, Hannah left the group to focus on her education, prompting the remaining sisters to rebrand and show their fans their current musical identity.
