Chris Young has addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. Young mentioned that he is still trying to process the events of the past week, which involved him being arrested on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed how much it meant to him when his friends and fans showed their support by telling him they believed in him and didn't think he was guilty of any wrongdoing.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
The security camera footage captures Young remaining composed before he tries to get the Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent's attention by reaching out towards him. In response, the agent pushes Young, causing him to trip and fall back into the bar.
Young expresses that he is still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and events from the previous week. He mentions in the video that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
