Chris Young has spoken to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved his arrest on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22.

In the video, Young expressed how much it meant to them to have friends and fans show their support and disbelief in the accusations.
"It is truly heartwarming to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect of the situation was the overwhelming love and support I received."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
The security footage captures Young appearing calm and collected before he tries to signal a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by extending his arm. In response, the agent pushes Young, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards into the bar.
"I'm still dealing with a lot of emotions from the untrue accusations and events that happened last week," Young states at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
"Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
