  • by

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being arrested for assault.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

Young expressed gratitude for the support from friends and fans who reassured him that they believed in his innocence and stood by him during this difficult time.

"I am grateful that the charges were dropped. It's a difficult experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. However, the positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support I received."

The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.

In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to stagger backwards into the bar and ultimately fall down.

"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events from the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The new release "Double Down" will be available starting at midnight on Friday, February 2nd.

"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to say thank you," Young expresses.
