Chris Young has spoken to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to understand and come to terms with the events of the past week, which included being arrested on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22nd.
Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed gratitude for the support from friends and fans who reached out to assure him that they did not believe he was responsible for the situation.
"It was a relief to see the charges dropped. Going through something like that is not something I would want anyone to experience. However, the positive aspect was being surrounded by love and support from others."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing composed before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards into the bar.
"I'm still trying to understand and come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week," Young expresses at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
Increase the volume and savor the moment. Young expresses gratitude, affection, and appreciation.
