Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of a tumultuous week that involved him being arrested for assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him after he was held in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and tell him they don't believe he did any of the things he was accused of.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. It's a difficult experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. However, the positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support that was shown."
The event occurred at a restaurant called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing towards him. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble back into the bar and fall down.
Young expresses that he is still trying to understand and come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. Towards the end of the video, he shares that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The movie "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume, have fun. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I appreciate it," Young expresses.
