Chris Young Thanks Fans for Support After Arrest and Dropped Charges: New Song Release Inspired by Fan Love

  • by

Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being arrested on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

In the video, Young expressed how much it meant to him to have friends and fans show their support and belief in him, saying "we got you, we don’t believe you did any of this."

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like this. However, the positive aspect is the overwhelming love and support that was shown."

The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing with his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble and fall back into the bar.

"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events from the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.

The album "Double Down" will be released this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I value and care for you, I have love for you, and I am grateful," Young expresses.
