Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have completed the legal process of ending their marriage, as a judge has formally approved their divorce.
Based on legal papers obtained by People magazine, the two country musicians officially ended their relationship in Nashville on Tuesday (Jan. 30). This occurred shortly after they had already come to an agreement on how to divide their assets and handle child support in early January.
The former partners have come to an agreement on how they will handle child support. As stated in the documents filed recently, Morris will be giving Hurd $2,100 every month, and they will both share custody of their son. Additionally, they have agreed to divide their assets according to the prenuptial agreement and the settlement they have reached.
Morris and Hurd have not shared many details about their split on social media. However, Morris mentioned during an interview on the Howard Stern Show in late 2023 that she was not ready to start dating again.
She mentioned that she wants the divorce process to be completed soon, but she is too busy focusing on her writing at the moment. She explained that writing songs has been her way of coping and expressing herself instead of dating.
