Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have completed the legal process of ending their marriage as a judge has approved their divorce.
Based on court papers obtained by People magazine, the two country singers officially ended their relationship in Nashville on Tuesday (Jan. 30), shortly after coming to an agreement on how to divide their property and handle child support in early January.
The former partners have come to an agreement on how they will handle financial support for their child. As outlined in documents submitted recently, Morris will provide $2,100 per month to Hurd, and they will share custody of their son. Additionally, they have decided to divide their assets according to the terms of their prenuptial agreement and settlement.
Both Morris and Hurd have not talked much about their split on social media. However, Morris mentioned during an interview on the Howard Stern Show in late 2023 that she was not ready to start dating again.
She mentioned that she would prefer the divorce process to be completed soon as she is currently preoccupied and doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with it at the moment. She explained that she is focusing on writing a lot at the moment and that has become her way of expressing her feelings, almost like a substitute for dating.
