Kane Brown Receives 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award for Dedication to Helping Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through his involvement with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for providing opportunities for at-risk youth.

Presently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.

Brown was chosen to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, a yearly recognition that applauds artists who prioritize giving back through their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a welcoming environment and opportunities to children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing socio-economic challenges. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the kind of supportive community that the organization strives to create for young people.

Apart from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally offered experiences for children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, including a meal where he shared his personal story. Additionally, he has worked on revitalizing a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.

The country singer's involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America has been recognized before. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
