Kane Brown has been recognized with a big award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for programs that help provide opportunities for at-risk and underserved youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given out each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their community as a significant aspect of their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, a chance for growth and belonging in a supportive environment. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the same type of safe space that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, even including dinner in the experience and sharing his own story with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several more. Tracy Lawrence received the award in the previous year.
