Kane Brown has always been a strong advocate for helping underprivileged children, even since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist. He has shown consistent support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to provide opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk young people.
Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable initiatives.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back through their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer opportunities and a welcoming community to children all over the country, especially those facing challenges due to their socioeconomic status. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, has expressed a desire for the safe and supportive environment that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given opportunities to children. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local group, including dinner, while sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has helped rebuild a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2022, he was honored with the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence received the award in the previous year.
