Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for providing opportunities to at-risk youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer known for the song "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable work.
Brown has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, the chance to be part of a welcoming community. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, has expressed a desire for all children to have access to the safe and supportive environment that the organization aims to create.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given children opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, including a dinner where he shared his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he received the title of the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and more. Tracy Lawrence received the award last year.
