Kane Brown Receives 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award for Dedication to Underprivileged Youth

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for programs that offer opportunities to at-risk youth.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and their focus on charitable activities.

Brown has been chosen to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to others as a significant aspect of their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expresses regret that he did not have access to the safe and inclusive space that the organization strives to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given opportunities to children personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, while sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized, as he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization in 2022.

Some of the past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
