Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given to artists who prioritize giving back in their work every year.
He will be honored at CRS Honors, a ceremony happening on February 29 in Nashville as a component of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to create a supportive environment for children from all walks of life, particularly those facing economic hardships. Brown, who experienced homelessness, discrimination, and mistreatment during his childhood, expressed a desire for the type of safe and welcoming space that the organization strives to offer to young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also offered personal experiences to children. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, including a dinner where he shared his own story with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.
The country singer has been recognized for his involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Tracy Lawrence, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the most recent winner of this award.
